BSNL to offer 25% cashback to these customers

Update: 2019-05-03 10:16 IST

For the third time in a row, state telecoms operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) extended the deadline for the return of 25% on its annual broadband plans. The new deadline has been scheduled for May 31, 2019. BSNL made this announcement on Twitter. This refund is applicable to all new and existing fixed line, broadband and BharatFibre customers of BSNL.

For those who do not know, this 25% refund plan was announced for the first time in December 2018 for subscribers of new and existing BSNL annual and semester broadband networks in India. Then, in March 2019, BSNL extended the 25% return offered in its annual plans until March 31. After that, it was extended again for one month, until April 30, only for the subscribers of the annual plan.

To avail this rebate, the BSNL annual plan subscribers must follow these steps:

Login to the BSNL broadband connection

♦ Accept subscribe to the scheme

After you accept, a new window will appear

Enter the service ID (fixed line broadband number or FTTH) together with a CAPTCHA

♦ Enter the OTP you receive in your registered mobile phone number

 Enter OTP and press validate

Check your details for the existing plan and the proposed annual plan

If you want to change the plan to get a 25% refund, click send. Click on cancel in case no change is required.

♦ A message will appear on the screen with the change request number once the order has been created.

This 25% cash back will be granted only as a credit to the customer's account only when the invoice, in which the annual plan is invoiced, is paid by the customer.

Customers can use this accredited amount to get more BSNL services, including the payment of future bills. If BSNL subscribers change plans to reduce the rental plan or disconnect the service prior to holding the rental option, a debit will be issued with an amount equivalent to the refund.

In particular, BSNL users can create a request to change the plan only once a month. In the event that a request to change the plan is already in progress, a new application will not be accepted.
