There is no need to panic, and we all need to implement necessary hygiene procedures. While the focus is more on wearing masks, gloves and washing hands. It is also essential to disinfect personal gadgets like laptops and phones regularly. On a timely basis, the global health research reports have cautioned that mobiles are a hotbed for bacteria and viruses and can be primary disease carriers. By chance, if your phone or laptop is contaminated, no handwashing will be helpful. These are the 5 things you must follow to stop your mobile and laptop from spreading infection.

5 things you need to do to stop your gadgets from spreading infection:

1. Avoid keeping your phone and handkerchief in the same trouser pocket or handbag.

2. Use earphones while making calls. This lessens the chance of virus transferring from the phone to your face. Clean your earphones also with hand sanitizer.

3. Avoid using other phones and public computers in internet cafes or offices. If you cannot avoid using them wear sterile gloves.

4. If your mobile is IP68 water-resistant clean it with soap and water or use hand sanitizer. First, switch off your phone before cleaning. Generally, alcohol is not recommended for cleaning gadgets. But for desperate measures you need a solution with minimum 60% alcohol to kill the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

5. Clean your gadgets regularly at least once in a day. After cleaning your phone or laptop, wash your hands with soap and water.
