Jio vs Airtel: Airtel launches Rs 48 and Rs 98 plans with 28 days validity
The telecom operator Airtel has launched new plans for its prepaid users. The company has introduced Rs 49 and Rs 98 plans for its subscribers. The new plans of the service provider are available in all telecom circles.
According to the Rs 48 plan, Airtel users will obtain 3GB data during the 28-day period. On the other hand, as part of the Rs 98 plan, users will obtain 6 GB data for the same 28-day period. However, under the Rs 98 plan, users will also receive 10 free national SMS.
This new plan of Rs 98 of Airtel will compete against the Rs 98 plan of Reliance Jio. The telecom operator owned by Mukesh Ambani offers data of 2GB per day with unlimited calls under the Rs 98 plan.
Along with this, users also get 100 SMS per day in the plan. This from Reliance Jio comes with the validity of 28 days. Along with the benefits mentioned above, Jio subscribers can also get free and free access to Jio Suite applications, which include JioTV, JioCinema and others.
On the other hand, the plan Rs 48 of Airtel will compete against the plan Rs 52 of Reliance Jio. Users get unlimited calls with 150 MB of data per day as part of the plan. It comes with the validity of 7 days and offers 70 free SMS. Users will also have free access to My Jio applications as well.
Earlier this month, Airtel announced that it will work with Ericsson to expand its VoLTE services in India. This agreement will result in the deployment of the Ericsson Cloud VoLTE solution, an industrialized solution to provide VoLTE services to a customer data centre. According to the company, the solution facilitates high definition voice (HD voice) and provides modern communication services experiences through many types of devices over LTE, Wi-Fi and future 5G access.
