JioFiber preview customers may get a special surprise from Jio

Reliance Jio may have a special surprise for JioFiber preview customers. Jio is planning to offer the JioFiber service entirely free for the first two months to these customers. So, the existing customers need not pay anything for the first two months to use the home broadband service post its commercial rollout on September 5. These customers can take refund the security deposit of Rs 2,500 any time.

Customers who subscribe to JioFiber after its commercial rollout on September 5, need to pay Rs 1500 as a refundable security deposit. The installation charges will be Rs 1,000.

Reliance announced JioFiber service on July 5 last year. The registrations for the broadband service started last year on August 15. The commercial rollout date was announced by the company at its 42nd annual general meeting (AGM) earlier this month.

The company also announced new details, including pricing and freebies that will be offered along with JioFiber service. Reliance Jio GigaFiber plans will be rated between Rs 700 and Rs 10,000 per month. Subscribers will get free voice calls from landline to any Indian operator across India. Jio Fibre Welcome plan customers will get 4K LED television and 4K set-top box free. The company also said that premium Jio GigaFiber users could watch few movies on the same day they are released. Jio claims that JioFibre's data speed starts at 100Mbps and will go up to 1Gbps (1000Mbps).

However, Reliance Jio did not announce the complete list of plans and tariffs. These details will be available on Jio.com website and MyJio app from September 5.
