OnePlus, India's smartphone market leader is expected to launch its next phone in mid-May and, with almost a month to go, the internet is flooded with leaks, rumours and alleged specifications for the next phone. Seeing the obsession of several informants, the CEO of OnePlus, Pete Lau, went to Twitter and said: " I know you guys are stoked to hear about the new device — check back to see my post this Wednesday."

This is the company's first official communication about the "new device" and it is very likely that Lau will announce the release date of the alleged smartphone series OnePlus 7, which was recently rumoured to include three smartphones: OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro 5G.

For those who do not know, the company has the tradition of launching only one phone every six months, where it launches a variant 'T' of the same phone in November-December that launched in May-June. However, according to recent leaks, the company will change that this year as OnePlus 7 Pro has been seen online.

Tipster Ishan Agarwal shared two photos of the alleged OnePlus 7 Pro, which he claims was seen on the Chinese micro-blogging website Weibo. From the images, you can see that the next phone will come with a double curved screen, without notch on top. An image also shows the 'about phone' section that reveals some specifications, such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, the configuration of the triple rear camera comprises 48 + 16 + 8 MP camera sensors, 6.67-inch screen. Showing the model number GM1915, it shows that the phone works with the Android operating system 9.0 Pie. Agarwal added that there will be a 5G variant of the alleged OnePlus 7 Pro (GM model number 1920) and also confirmed that the company will launch the OnePlus 7 Pro variant (model number GM1911) in India. Agarwal also confirmed the launch of the OnePlus 7 series in May, along with sharing the OnePlus 7 Pro slogan as "Go Beyond Speed."
