Redmi Y3 to launch on April 24, specifications listed on Geekbench

The launch of Redmi Y3 is scheduled for India on Wednesday, April 24. But just before the formal launch, the smartphone has been discovered in the Geekbench reference portal with all its key specifications. Of course, the launch is only a day away urge readers to take the list with a pinch of salt, since there is no way to verify its authenticity. The online list shows the presence of Snapdragon 625 SoC, as well as at least 3 GB of RAM. Xiaomi has already confirmed that the Redmi Y3 will debut with a 32-megapixel selfie camera. In addition, recent teasers have revealed the availability of a 4,000 mAh battery and a degraded finish on the Redmi Y3. The new Redmi phone also appeared in a teaser video with a water drop style screen notch.

Redmi Y3 expected specifications

According to the Geekbench list, the Redmi Y3 will come with a Socom Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 (MSM8953), combined with 3 GB of RAM. We can safely assume that there will be other variants of the phone, taking into account the previous record of the Redmi series.

It should be noted that the SoC Snapdragon 625 was driving the Redmi Y2 last year, as well as the Xiaomi models with date, including the Redmi Note 4. However, the company can add some software improvements to distinguish the performance of the new phone. In particular, the authenticity of Geekbench's list cannot be verified, and we urge readers to take the details collected from the list with a pinch of salt.

The Geekbench list also highlights that the Redmi Y3 runs Android Foot out of the box. This would come together with MIUI 10 at the top.

In terms of performance, the listing on the Geekbench website shows that Redmi Y3 has received a single-core score of 1,236 and a multi-core score of 4,213. There may be some variations in the Redmi Y3 units that would go on sale after the April 24 launch.

As we mentioned, the Redmi Y3 is ready to arrive as a successor to the Redmi Y2 with a 32-megapixel selfie camera. Xiaomi also confirmed a 4,000 mAh battery, finished with a gradient background and a water drop style screen notch. In addition, the phone recently scoffed at a dual rear camera configuration and a fingerprint sensor.

In addition to the Redmi Y3, Xiaomi could launch the Redmi 7 at its Wednesday event in India. The Redmi 7 series debuted in China with a 4,000 mAh battery and Snapdragon 632 SoC in March.
