These days data breaches, cyber-attacks and account hacking have become common on the Internet. In such situations, the Facebook application Instagram to share photos wants to make it tough for hackers to violate users' accounts. According to an Engadget report, Instagram is testing a new recovery process, which will be in the application, and will help users to recover their account in an easier way. Instagram is also trying to hinder the entry of hackers into your account.

Now Users have to send a support form or wait for an email. Instagram will now be in the application and will ask users for their information, and then, users will get a six-digit code. This code can be sent to the contact information of the users' choice. The Engadget further reports that "Instagram will then prevent hackers from using email or phone number codes to take over your account from a different device."

This will allow users to recover their account even if a hacker has changed the username and contact data. To ensure this, Instagram is introducing a feature called "period of time" in which user name cannot be claimed if changes are made to the account, legitimately or by hackers.

It is not clear when the feature will be extended to all users, Engadget mentions that the blocking of the username is available for all Android users. For iOS users, the implementation will be done gradually. The basic idea is to help users recover their account, in the event of a hacking, staying within the application only and without trusting any other source. While this move will not prevent hackers from entering accounts, it will help users recover their account much more easily.
