These 5 Features will make WhatsApp more interesting
Facebook-owned WhatsApp is the most popular instant messaging app across the globe. WhatsApp keeps adding new and exciting features without negotiating on ease-of-use. Now it is working on more new features that will surely make the app more exciting and convenient.
Dark Mode
The most anticipated features on WhatsApp is the Dark Mode, which has been spotted in the beta versions. The Dark Mode inverts the colours to help reduce strain on eyes, particularly after sunset. Google already added the feature on Chrome browser and YouTube. With iOS 13, Apple introduced system-wide Dark Mode. Sooner or later, WhatsApp is also expected to add the feature.
Quick Edit Media
WhatsApp is at work on a "quick edit media" feature, spotted in the recent beta version. This feature enables users to make changes to media files sent or received. To be noted, the feature is different from the existing edit tools available on WhatsApp. As per WABetainfo, now users can edit the media in-chat and share directly.
More Forwarded Details
To fight fake news and misinformation on its platform, WhatsApp last year added a "forwarded" label on messages that have been forwarded by the sender. The app is now going to improve this feature by adding a "frequently forwarded" label. Whatsapp is also working on a new feature that will let you know how many times that message has been forwarded. The feature will be part of the info section which informs when the message was delivered and when it was read.
In the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.19.189 update, WhatsApp is working on a QR Code shortcut (it's not visible yet).

QR Code
WhatsApp is working on making it easy to add a new contact through QR codes. WhatsApp's QR code is said to be very similar to nametags on Instagram, expected to launch very soon. Every user will receive a unique QR code which can be shared with others. WhatsApp already uses QR code for WhatsApp Web that mirrors the phone version.
Hide Muted Status
Just like Facebook's unfollow, WhatsApp's 'hide muted status' feature hide from the Status feed, it doesn't completely block a contact. Currently, even if you mute a status, a faded version appears at the bottom of the feed. WhatsApp is reportedly improving the feature by removing the muted Status feed completely.
