3 new iPhones expected to launch in 2019: Know more
Now that almost all major smartphone launches are more or less ready for this year, all eyes are now on the next iPhone models. Unlike Google Apple has not revealed anything about the next devices but there has been a cloud of leaks, speculation and rumours that revolve around them.
Here is all that we know about iPhones in 2019.
1. This year as well Apple may stick with three iPhones
According to analysts' rumours and predictions, it is said that Apple will once again launch three new iPhones this year. While the two iPhones will be the successors of iPhone XS and XS Max, the third will be the second generation iPhone XR. They are being slanted like iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Max and iPhone XR2.
2. Will new iPhones be more expensive than before?
Naturally, new models of iPhones will be more expensive than before due to several factors, including the blow of specifications in the form of a battery, processor, display technology and a more powerful additional camera in the back. The new accessories that come along with the next iPhones can also increase the price. While the rumoured iPhone 11 will be the most expensive, the next-generation iPhone XR will be the cheapest in the trio. For now, the initial prices of iPhone XS, XS Max and XR are Rs 99,000, Rs 1,09,900 and Rs 76,900.
3. Design: largely to remain the same, could get new colours
In terms of design, the three iPhones can retain the same design as the current models, depending on the different leaks on the web. The front and sides must remain the same while the back may differ due to the additional cameras in all of them.
4. Colours: Old to go, new to enter
While there are fewer details about the new colours that Apple can introduce for iPhones 11 and 11 Max at the time of launch, it is expected that the iPhone XR 2 will be presented in two new colours: green and lavender as per a Macotara report. These will be replacing the Coral and Blue colours. The most premium ones can obtain a "Rose Gold" colour variant.
5. Display: The 'notch' can stay
It is possible that Apple does not move away from the "notch" design on the front for the iPhone 11, the iPhone 11 Max and the iPhone XR 2. It is said that the screen sizes are also the same in OLED of 6.5 inches (iPhone 11 Max), 5.8-inch OLED (iPhone 11) and 6.1-inch LCD (iPhone XR 2) as per MacRumors report. However, the resolution of the screen and the technology may change.
6. Processor: More chances of Apple A13 processor
The three new iPhones are expected to feature Apple's A13 processor, which can be more efficient and consume less power. Current models of iPhones come with Apple's A12 Bionic chipset.
7. Rear cameras: Rumoured iPhone 11, 11 Max to get three rear cameras, iPhone XR 2 gets two rear cameras
The rumoured iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max are heavily speculated to offer cameras with triple backup. While the two lenses will remain the same, the third could be a wide-angle lens. There will also be a blow of insurance speculation. It is also rumoured that the iPhone XR 2 has dual rear cameras instead of just one.
8. Front camera: Nothing much to change except some software features
On the other hand, the front camera is likely to remain the same with some possible updates and features of the software. The next iPhones may not have dual front cameras.
9. Operating system: You can be sure about iOS 13
There is no doubt that the new iPhones will come with iOS 13 ready to use. It has been the case of iPhones for several years. The old iPhones will get iOS 13 a few days after launch. Apple has already detailed iOS 13 at the recent WWDC 2019 conference.
10. Battery: Rumoured Apple iPhone XR 2 to rule in the game
Although it is assumed that the three iPhones get more powerful batteries, the iPhone XR 2 could be the longest, since it has less powerful components to serve. At this time, the iPhone XR has a longer battery life than the XS and the XS Max.
11. Expected date of Arrival
When it comes to the date of launch the rumoured iPhone 11, 11 Max and iPhone XR 2 will probably be released in the second week of September, which means around September 11th. For some years, the company has launched the new iPhones in the second week of September with sales from that weekend (meaning around September 13). Last year, India was in the second wave of countries where iPhones (iPhone XS and XS Max) were put on sale, so this time it could also be the same.
