Amazon Festive Yatra, A House on Wheels Reaches Hyderabad

Kishore Thota, Amazon India Director (Marketing), Shalini Puchalapalli, Director (Category Management) and Rajesh Kaul, Vice-President (Sales and Marketing) at an event marking the entry of Amazon Festive Yatra to Hyderabad on Friday.

Arun Sirdeshmukh, business head, Amazon Fashion India said, "It's a wonderful concept where we are trying to showcase what is special from Amazon and how you do up your home pretty much with everything you buy on the platform."

Amazon Festive Yatra is a celebration of the best Indian selection, bringing the big brands available for the Great Indian Festival under one roof. Exclusive products from small and medium businesses, start-ups and artisans from all over India. The specially-curated house on wheels includes a selection from Amazon's 'Karigar & Saheli' programmes. More than 600 products sold on the portal are on display which consists of a selection by small and medium businesses.

The house on wheels is made on three special trucks. As part of the journey, it is covering over 6,000 km, has visited many cities including Ahmedabad, Lucknow and Delhi, and is destined for Bengaluru.

Mr Sirdeshmukh told a fashion business, a critical piece of Diwali shopping, the portal worked with Indian and international brands. "Many of them make special lines that they unveil and launch with us," he said.

Shalini Puchalapalli, Director (Management Category) said the portal has five lakh sellers and 200 million products that offer a wide range of choice for customers. The Great Indian Festival is aiming to bring the next 100 million customers online, many of them from tier-3 or even tier-4 towns.
