BSNL 1500GB Fiber-to-the-Home Offered in More Cities of India

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), the state-owned telecom operator has expanded its 1500GB Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) plan to new cities in our country. Earlier the plan was limited to Telangana and Chennai circles, but now it can be purchased in Tamil Nadu too.

N Surendar, BSNL Junior Telecom Officer (JTO) confirmed the plan introduction in new cities in a tweet and specified that plans begin from Rs 499 to Rs 1,999 and are now available in Omalur, Mettur, Sankagiri, Tiruchengode, Salem, Yercaud, Attur, Valapady, Rasipuram, Namakkal, and Velur.

The 1500GB FTTH plan and other FTTH plans are also apparently available in Bhawanipatna city in Odisha and Puducherry.

The 1500GB FTTH plan, which costs Rs 1,999 offers unlimited local and STD voice calling benefits and 200Mbps up to 1500GB high-speed internet. Once the FUP limit is reached, the speed gets reduced to 2Mbps.

BSNL's Rs 749 FTTH plan labelled as 'Super Star 300 FTTH' on the BSNL's official site offers speeds up to 50 Mbps till 300GB of data, with the operator limiting the speed to 2 Mbps upon reaching the limit. BSNL subscribers will also get unlimited free calls to all networks and a complimentary subscription of Hotstar Premium with the plan.

On the other hand, the Rs 849 FTTH voucher brings speeds up to 50 Mbps till 600GB of data and unlimited voice calling benefits (Local+STD) to any network. It is worth to note that once the FUP limit is reached, the speed will get reduced to 2Mbps.
