Today Google has started rolling out dark mode for Gmail officially for Android and iOS users. This year, Google has mainly focused on bringing the dark mode to its users, which not reduces eye strain, but also improve battery life on OLED displays.

Based on the phone's setting, the app will switch to dark mode. Both Android and iOS have dark mode options as a system-wide theme. In Pixel phones, dark mode gets automatically enabled when you switch to the power-saving mode.

If you do not get the dark mode in the cases mentioned above, you need to check yourself if the new theme available on your device or not and learn to enable it.

Follow these two simple and quick steps to enable dark mode in Gmail

Step 1: Open Gmail on your Android smartphone

Step 2: Go to menu>Settings>Theme>Dark

If you do not find the "Dark" option, don't worry as Google will roll out this feature for all the devices in the next 15 days.
