Nowadays, everyone wants to own the latest iPhone. Maybe, for this reason, Warren Buffet was not attracted towards Apple. Instead, he was in love with his flip phone -- Samsung SCH-U320 launched in 2010. He was using for years, and until 2019. Now, Buffet has moved to an iPhone 11.

As per CNBS reports, Warren Buffet, an investor in Apple with little over 5 per cent share in its stock, was using a $20 phone until last year. Recently he moved to an iPhone 11. But still, we don't know which iPhone 11 he is using. Also, he disclosed to the business news channel that the iPhone 11, which he is using now he did not buy. Warren Buffet told that he often gets iPhones as a gift and till now he did not feel the need to use one.

Buffet told CNBC, my flip phone is permanently gone. Earlier, Tim Cook, Apple's CEO gifted Buffet an iPhone to Buffet but it's only now that he has changed his Samsung flip phone. As per the Verge report, Tim Cook has been trying to get Buffet to use an iPhone. Cook even offered to fly out to Omaha and perform tech support for Buffet, in case he needed it.

So what made Buffet keep using an almost ten years old feature phone? Simplicity. And he uses a phone only for calls.

Buffet shared in his interview that he uses the iPhone only for basic calling. He also said that he does not use all its facilities like other people. Buffet said in a statement; you're looking at an 89-year-old who is barely beginning to get with it. It is surprising given the fact that the billionaire has many friends in Silicon Valley, including Bill Gates.

While the iPhone is used as a feature phone, Buffet makes full and proper use of the iPad. Using the tablet, he told CNBC, he researches topics also keeps a track on the stock markets.
