WhatsApp to allow you mute videos before sharing
WhatsApp has been busy testing and also implementing new features. You are now working on a new feature that will give users the option to mute videos before sending them.
The new WhatsApp feature is being tested now, but it is not yet available for public beta users. This feature is in development and was discovered by WABetaInfo. It is not known when WhatsApp will implement this feature for users. It is a simple function, but it can be useful for users who want to send videos without audio in them.
As per the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, the preview screen of the videos will have a speaker icon that you can select to enable/disable the audio. If you turn it off, the video will be muted. It will also work for videos on WhatsApp status. This function is usually present on social media platforms such as Instagram and Twitter expected to be rolled out in a future WhatsApp update.
Considering the other features WhatsApp has recently introduced, disappearing messages are finally here. Announced earlier this month, WhatsApp users can now send ephemeral messages. Once enabled, new messages sent in chat will disappear after seven days. This feature is available to all WhatsApp users on Android, iOS, and WhatsApp Web.
WhatsApp has also started rolling out advanced wallpaper features for more users. This feature allows users to set a different wallpaper for each chat. You can choose to set a wallpaper for all chats on WhatsApp, or manually select a different one for each chat. This feature was first tested in the WhatsApp beta app for Android. It is not yet available on iOS.
