WhatsApp Upcoming Features in 2021; Check Out
Facebook-owned messaging app WhatsApp has been working on multiple new features that may release in 2021. Please find the list here:
Attach Multiple Photos and Videos
This feature will allow users to attach multiple images and videos.
If a user selects multiple images from the gallery and taps on "Export" and then click on "Copy," they can paste the content in the chat bar.
Join Missed Group Calls
WhatsApp to soon roll out support for users to join missed group calls at any time. As per WABetaInfo, the users can join a group call even if they have missed a call if it is still going on.
Multi-Device Support
The feature will allow users to add more than one device for a single account simultaneously. WhatsApp has been testing this feature for quite some time now.
Mute Videos Before Sharing
WhatsApp will soon allow users to mute videos before sharing them to their contacts. This feature will bring a speaker icon on the video's left side, next to the duration and file size details. Users can tap on this icon to mute a video before sharing it.
Read Later Feature
This is an improved version of the archived chat, where users can mute a chat, after which WhatsApp will not notify for the selected chat. Currently, WhatsApp sends notifications for Archived chats.
WhatsApp Web Audio and Video calls
It is one of WhatsApp's most anticipated features that will allow users to make voice and video calls directly from WhatsApp Web. in December last year, WABetaInfo reported that some users started receiving voice and video call buttons in chat windows for the WhatsApp web.
WhatsApp Insurance
WhatsApp is ready to roll out health insurance and micro-pension products on its messaging platform in India. WhatsApp will partner with SBI General to launch health insurance and HDFC Pension to offer national pension products.
