Xiaomi Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro to launch today: Watch Live
At last Xiaomi is launching the Redmi K20 Pro and the Redmi K20 in India today. The Redmi K20 series launch event starts at noon today. The event will be live-streamed on the firm's official website, YouTube channel and social media accounts.
Presently, there's no transparency whether Xiaomi will launch the China model of the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro in India or the smartphones will be different in India. Redmi K20 will be powered by Snapdragon 730 and the Redmi K20 Pro by Snapdragon 855.
It is said that the Redmi K20 Pro is the cheapest Snapdragon 855 processor launched so far in India. Xiaomi has already publicised that the Redmi K20 Pro will be available in three colours -- Blue, Black and Red. Xiaomi India is also launching a limited edition Redmi K20 Pro with gold and diamond in it.
Expected Specifications
The Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro was launched back in May this year in the country. The Redmi K20 Pro, China variant comes with 6.39-inch AMOLED display, up to 8GB RAM, up to 256GB of internal storage, Snapdragon 855 processor, runs Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10 on top, triple cameras with the 48MP sensor being the primary, 20MP pop-up selfie camera, 4000mAh battery, among other specifications. The Redmi K20 differs from the K20 Pro in areas like hardware, RAM and storage.
Expected Price
With the Redmi K20 Xiaomi may compete with Realme X that was launched at Rs 16,999 for the basic 4GB RAM model. We believe that the Redmi K20 will be priced close to Realme X. We can expect the Redmi K20 price to be between Rs 16999 and 18999 in India. Whereas, the Redmi K20 Pro price may cross Rs 20,000.
