10 bikes seized during cordon and search in Kollapur
Nagarkurnool: The Nagarkurnool police conducted a cordon and search operation in Kollapur mandal on Wednesday and seized 10 bikes when the vehicle owners failed to submit proper vehicle registration papers.
The cordon and search operation was conducted under the supervision of Nagarkurnool Superintendent of Police Sai Sekhar, where in more than 100 police personnel, including constables, sub-inspectors, circle inspectors and DSPs took part.
"As part of regular cordon and search operation, we carried out the searches in Kollapur mandal and cordoned all the roads leading to various colonies and conducted a thorough house-to-house check to verify the identity of the residents. As part of the verification drive, we identified 10 persons possessing bikes with no proper documents. We have seized the bikes," informed the SP.
Adding further, the SP said that the main objective for conducting cordon and search operation was to sensitise the public about the police security and keep them alert so that if there was any suspicious activity by anyone, they could contact and inform the police before any untoward incident happens. Police is for the safety and security of the public and are working 24/7 to keep law and order under control and ensuring peace and tranquillity among the public, the SP said.
Later, the SP interacted with the residents of Kollapur and advised them to be alert and asked them to keep the police informed about any suspicious persons or incidents in the region.
