10 couples tie knot at mass marriage at Basava Siddeshwara Matam

Narayanpet: Commemorating the birth anniversary of Basava Siddeshwara on the occasion of Akshaya Trithiya in Neradgam village of Maganoor mandal, a mass marriage was conducted where more than 10 couples from economically weaker sections tied the knot at Shri Pakshimaadri Sansthana Virakta Matham on Tuesday.

The newly-married couples were blessed by Shri Shiddha Lingeshwara Swamulu, the Peethadhipathi of the Matam.

The Basava Siddheshwara Temple in Narayanpet district is very famous, where lakhs of pilgrims and devotees from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Telangana come and visit this place and take the blessings of the Peethadhipathi at the Matam.

On the occasion of Akshya Trithiya, hundreds of devotees thronged the temple town of Neradgam village on Tuesday and took the blessings of Swamiji.
