10 tribal families evicted from reserve forest in Asifabad

Asifabad: The Reserve Forest officials on Thursday evacuated ten tribal families, living in the reserve forest area, from Kolam Gandi village under Kagaznagar mandal in Komaram Bheem-Asifabad district.

They also detained families of tribal and household items and shifted them to Vempalli wood depot.

Sirpur constituency Congress in-charge Dr Palvai Harish Babu visited the village and interacted with the tribal families.

Later he spoke with the range forest officer and the District Collector over phone, asking them to provide pakka houses to the

evacuees. He also asked Vempalli forest depot officers to provide food and accommodation to the tribal families.
