100% bus services to passengers: Collector Devasena

Peddapalli: Issue tickets to the passengers travelling in TSRTC buses without fail and provide 100 per cent bus services for the convenience of the people, District Collector Devasena ordered.

She paid a sudden visit to Godavarikhani and Manthani bus depots and inspected the process of arranging routes to bus services of both the depots in Peddapalli on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector ordered the officials concerned to run buses as per rules and regulations prescribed and not to collect extra money from the passengers. "If anybody collects extra money from the passengers, stringent action will be taken against them," she warned.

Conductors must issue tickets to the passengers by using TIM machines and should accept all types of subsidy cards that were issued by the TSRTC to students, disabled persons, journalists and other employees, she ordered.

The Collector directed the officials concerned to take necessary measures for providing 100 per cent bus services for the convenience of the people. Before handing over the buses to the temporary employees, she told the officials to conduct drunk and drive tests for drivers through breath analysers.

Along with providing Palle Velugu bus services, max cabs will also be provided for rural people, she informed. Godavarikhani and Manthani bus depot managers and other officials were present.
