1.12 crore fishlings distributed to fishermen: Peddaplli MLA Manohar Reddy
Peddapalli: The TRS government is striving hard for increasing fish production for the welfare of fishermen community present across the State, said Peddaplli MLA Dasari Manohar Reddy. He released about 87,000 fishlings in Yellamma and Gundamma tanks in Peddapalli town on Friday. Later speaking at a public meeting here, the MLA said the government is striving hard for the welfare of people of all sections present in the State. For the wellbeing of fishermen community, the State government is distributing fishlings on 100 percent subsidy. So far, about 1.12 crores of fishlings have been distributed to fishermen societies, which were released in about 1,100 lakes and tanks in the district, he informed.
Keeping in view all sections of people, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had introduced several innovative schemes for their economic development and is implementing them perfectly in the State.
The people should utilise these schemes and must develop financially, MLA Manohar Reddy appealed.
District Fisheries Department Officer Mallesham, ZPTC Bandari Ram Murthy, vice MPP Muthyala Rajaiah, fishermen societies members Putta Mondaiah, M Shankar, V Lakshminarayana, K Narsaiah, B Sampath, K Srinivas, Rushi and B Ajay were present along with others.
