Peddemul: Parents of a young boy who has been missing for 12 years are still waiting with a hope that he will return home someday. He was not a kid to get lost. He was working in a private company in Hyderabad. But to everyone's surprise, he never returned after attending a function.

According to his parents Pendyala Bhemeswhar and Vinoda, Sudheer Chandra Teja came to his hometown to attend a function of their relatives. He was the only son for his parents, apart from two daughters. He told his parents that he was returning to Hyderabad.

Later, when his parents tried to contact him, he did not attend to the phone, though it was ringing continuously. After failing to contact him, father Bheemeshwar lodged a complaint with the police on May 31, 2008. The parents inquired in all possible ways and could not find him. They never gave up and have been trying to find him again.

Bheemeshwar alleged that the negligence of the police was the main reason for failing in tracing him. "We made rounds around police station. Our son's mobile phone was ringing. They did not bother to get call data.

Our son would have been with us now if they had worker properly," he lamented. When The Hans contacted present Sub-Inspector Suresh about the incident, he said he was not aware of the case as it was 12-years-old. "I will look into the case and take the matter to the notice of higher officials and follow their direction," he assured.

The parents, in the meantime, are in utter distress that their young son is not with them in their old age. They are living with their two daughters in Toopran. A ray of hope is still in their lives that their only son would return in any day, which in fact driving them.
