120 Indians who stranded in the US due to the COVID-19 pandemic has reached in a special flight to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad on Monday

Hyderabad: As many as 120 Indians who stranded in the US due to the COVID-19 pandemic has reached in a special flight to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad on Monday while another flight from Britain landed in Bengaluru. The special flight has arrived from Sanfrancisco via Mumbai in Hyderabad around 9.22 am.

The central government has arranged special flights to bring back the Indians stuck in various countries due to the COVID-19 induced lockdown.

After the immigration, personal check and thermal screening, all the passengers will be shifted to various hotels in RTC buses where will be put on quarantine for 14 days. However, the hotel expenses during the quarantine period have to be born by the passengers. Later in the day, GMR Hyderabad International Airport is all set to receive another batch of Indian Citizens from Abu Dhabi (UAE). The Air India Flight – AI 1920 is expected to arrive at around 9.30 PM today

On Saturday night, a special flight from Kuwait landed in Hyderabad with 167 passengers and they were shifted to various quarantine centres. For those coming from foreign countries, the government arranged paid quarantine centres. However, the poor workers will be shifted to quarantine centres set up by the government.
