15Lakh sign petition demanding justice for Disha

Hyderabad: Outraged by the gruesome murder of a veterinary doctor, Disha, in Hyderabad, over 15 lakh people from across the country have signed hundreds of change.org petitions seeing justice for the victim.

While thousands took to streets staging various protests, lakhs of people have signed petitions on change.org to express shock and outrage, and to mount public pressure on the government for strict action against the perpetrators.

Started on November 29, the petition gathered 3 lakh supporters in just 24 hours and continued to grow rapidly to be signed by 8 lakh people.

This petition has become one of the biggest public mobilisation petitions in the history of change.org that captures the public sentiment of people from across the country.
