18 suspected coronavirus samples sent for lab test on Thursday alone
Hyderabad: On Thursday alone, Telangana health officials took out samples of 18 persons including 9 Chinese nationals to determine the presence of coronavirus.
Seven Chinese nationals who were working for a noted infrastructure company involved in construction of irrigation projects in both Telugu States approached the Fever Hospital.
Their samples were collected and sent to Gandhi lab to determine whether they were affected with coronavirus or not.
They were asked to stay in the isolation ward until results are out.
According to officials, these Chinese engineers and technical experts have been staying in Telangana for the last few years to assist engineers and teams working in construction of packages of a mega irrigation project taken up by the Telangana government.
Meanwhile, eleven persons were admitted in isolation ward of Gandhi Hospital on Thursday.
Among them two were Chinese nationals. Doctors took their samples that were sent to lab.
These Chinese nationals were working in an IT firm and they recently returned to the city for work. It is learnt they were asked by the company administration to get the nCoV test done as a precaution after which they approached the Gandhi Hospital.
Until Wednesday, nCoV tests were done on 37 persons with travel history to China and all of them turned out to be negative.
