2 agents of private housing society held for cheating in Yadadri-Bhongir

Yadadri-Bhongir: The Bhongir police on Tuesday arrested two agents of Malyavi Karunidhya Society, which allegedly cheated hundreds of people by collecting money on the pretext of providing houses at cheaper prices.

The arrested were identified as Sukka Ganesh, a native of Nagireddypally village and Malga Naveen, a resident of Motakonduru village in the district.

The duo had collected Rs 5.4 lakh from 19 people in their area promising houses to them.

Bhongir ACP Bhujanga Rao said following the complaint of a woman, a case was filed against the directors of the society. The police had earlier arrested Konda Krishnamma and Kotha Raji Reddy.

Cases were also filed against the agents of the society under Section 420 of IPC. The police arrested Ganesh and Naveen while they were moving suspiciously near RTC bus stand in Bhongir.

The ACP advised the people to not to believe in any persons or private societies that approach them promising houses at cheaper prices.
