2 bike lifters arrested in Bhupalpally

Bhupalpally: The Mahadevpur police on Thursday arrested to two-wheeler thieves, one of them a teenager, and seized 16 bikes from them.

According to Kataram ASP Potharaju Sai Chaitanya, the accused have been identified as 19-year-old Sripathi Kalyan, a painter by profession in Parkal of Warangal Rural district, and his friend Durgam Suresh of Peddampet village under Mahadevpur mandal.

The police said that they have caught Sripathi while driving a motorcycle without any papers. During the interrogation, Sripathi spilled the beans about the thefts he and his friend had committed. The stolen bikes were hidden at Durgam Suresh's place in Peddampet village.

The duo's thefts spread across Bhupalpally, Chelpur, Manthani, Mancherial and Karimnagar. The police registered a case and started investigation.
