2 die in auto-tractor collision

Mulugu: Two persons were killed and three others sustained injuries in tractor-auto-rickshaw collision near BC colony of Thalapadu village under Venkatapur Mandal in Mulugu district on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as K Nagesh (32) of Laknepalli village near Narsampet of Warangal Rural district, and Errolla Shobhan (26). According to the police, a speeding auto-rickshaw was hit by a tractor coming from the opposite direction.

The impact was such that the auto-rickshaw was thrown into the air after it was hit by the tractor. All the inmates of the auto-rickshaw were thrown onto the road.

Nagesh died on the spot following a broken neck. He is survived by a wife and two children. Shobhan died while being shifted to hospital. The other injured were admitted to the MGM Hospital in Warangal. The police registered a case and investigation is on.
