2 interstate robbers nabbed

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Commissionerate Central Zone police on Monday arrested two interstate robbers and recovered one country made pistol with two magazines containing 8 rounds.

They also seized a gold chain, a pair of gold earrings, finger ring, cash of Rs 50,000 and two bikes from the possession of the accused.

According to Central Zone DCP, P Viswa Prasad, they have arrested Raj Kumar Sharma (48), native of Himachal Pradesh and Sachin Kumar (47), resident of Delhi and efforts are on to nab the absconding accused Mohammed Sharukh.

The DCP said they received a complaint from Sachin Chowdary (38), a resident of Sindhi Colony on September 15 in which he stated that when he left the house in DV Colony to Jain Temple duly locking the main door and when he returned he found that some unknown offenders have committed theft of gold items, digital camera and cash of Rs 50,000 by breaking open the main door lock.

Based on his complaint, they registered a case under various sections and took up the investigation.

The accused Raj Kumar and Sachin Kumar were convicted for 10 years in a bank robbery case and were recently released from Tihar Jail. They hatched a plan with Mohammed Sharukh, who is an expert in breaking and opening the central locking system of locked houses.

The accused earlier purchased a country made pistol in Meerut of Uttar Pradesh and came to Hyderabad along with his friend Dimple, who does not have knowledge about the robberies that they planned. All the three accused together have committed theft.
