Update: 2019-07-19 15:12 IST
In addition to the existing traffic signals, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is planning to install 200 more traffic signals in the city.
The proposal came after complaints received from the traffic police and commuters pertaining to the poor maintenance of the existing traffic signals. Based on the complaints, the traffic police, GHMC officials and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has come up with an idea of visiting Bengaluru to learn the traffic signal system and its maintenance.
However, the proposal of the new traffic signals was made by Cyberabad police commissionerate and Rachakonda police commissionerate keeping in mind the developmental activities on the city outskirts.
