214 polling stations found critical in Cyberabad limits
Hyderabad: As many as 10,000 security personnel will be deployed to conduct the elections peacefully in 7 parliamentary constituencies including two major constituencies Chevella and Malkajgiri in Cyberabad limits.
According to Cyberabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar, out of 2,971 polling stations 214 are found to be critical. From 10,000 armed forces, 2,000 security jawans will be used in routes and patrolling in the areas during polling.
CP said they received 20 companies and 900 home guards from Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan, 100 forest guards, 100 prohibition excise constables etc.
The forces are deployed in three zones equally and are being utilized in flag march, vehicle checking, area domination and security of EVM strong rooms and check posts.
CP said till now 690 NBWs were executed, 1,081 arms deposited and over 2,494 persons bound over by were done.
Till Wednesday, they seized Rs 2.70 crore cash and liquor worth Rs 54, 000 and registered 11 excise and 8 MCC cases.
He said they conducted zone wise sensitization meeting covering all ranks of officers and a total of 21 police check posts are functioning covering bordering with other districts and internal areas.
