22 immersion points set up in Suryapet

Chilukur (Suryapet): Superintendent of Police Ravirala Venkateshwarlu stated that special immersion points were allocated for immersion of Ganesh idols in the district. On Thursday, he inspected Chilukur police station and examined important records.

Speaking on the occasion, the SP informed that as many as 22 places have been identified in the district for Ganesh idols immersion and the officials concerned were making all necessary arrangements at the respective venues.

Both Police and Revenue department have come to a conclusion to take up idol immersion near Pulichintala project in Chintalpalem mandal as the water is flowing aggressively, he added.

Stating that surveillance was stepped up at all Ganesh pandals in the district, he warned of taking stringent action against those who use DJs during the celebrations and at the time of procession.

He expressed his pleasure over the functioning of Chilukur police station and instructed the officials to complete the construction of new police station building at the earliest.

As part of visit, he planted a sapling on the premises of Chilukur police station.
