22 stranded in boat capsize belong to Hyderabad

Around 22 stranded members in boat capsize at East Godavari district are learned to have belonged to Hyderabad. It is learnt most passengers are from Hyderabad , Warangal and other areas of Telangana.

The boat Royal Vasista with around 61 passengers was heading to picturesque Papikondalu from Gandi Pochamma temple when the incident took place. Out of the total, 14 members reached to shore and 10 others were rescued.

Meanwhile, search operations are on to trace the remaining passengers. The NDRF team also rushed to the spot and joined the rescue operations. A helicopter was also pressed into service at the area.
