3% DA dose for State staff
Hyderabad: Hike in Dearness Allowance of the government employees, overhauling of the Police department in the newly created districts and mandals and plastic ban were among the important issues discussed in the state Cabinet meeting held here on Saturday.
The Cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao ratified the proposal to increase the DA by 3.144 per cent for the period of January to July.
The DA arrears will be deposited in the employees account this month. The Cabinet also decided to constitute an official committee to make recommendation of the total ban of plastic use in the state.
Based on the suggestions, government will take necessary action. The Cabinet asked the police top brass to overhaul the police department to suit the local conditions after the creation of new districts and mandals.
The Cabinet approved the proposal to set up special police station for Shamshabad International airport.
