3 held, booty worth 4 lakh seized in Warangal
Warangal: The Parvathagiri police on Monday arrested a three-member gang stealing parts of concrete machine, water censors and seized four such machines worth around Rs 4 lakh. The accused were identified as Bonthala Rajanikanth, Javaji Ramesh and Bonthala Prakash of Vasanthapur village under Shayampet mandal in Warangal Rural district.
Disclosing the details, here, East Zone DCP KR Nagaraju said that the trio resorted to thefts to make easy money so that they could booze and live comfortably. Rajanikanth and Ramesh who used to work as concrete machine operators in the past started to steal the concrete machine water censors along with their friend Prakash.
They used to steal the water censors fitted to concrete machines parked roadside. So far, they were involved in four thefts, one at Parvathagiri, two at Mulugu and one at Venkatapur. Based on reliable information that the trio was heading to Nekkonda from Parvathagiri to sell the machines, the police arrested them at Enugallu bus stop.
Commissioner of Police V Ravinder commended Parvathagiri Inspector P Kishan, sub-inspector N Veerender, constables S Raju, P Mohan and Raju for apprehending the gang.
