3 killed in separate road accidents in Khammam

Three persons were killed and five persons sustained injuries in separate incidents in erstwhile Khammam district on Wednesday.

In a road accident at Tummalapalli village Penuballi Mandal in Khammam district on Vijayawada-Chattisgarh road, two persons hailing from Yedavalli village of Kanigiri mandal in Prakasham district of Andhra Pradesh died after their car turned turtle. Two people were dead on the spot and five people injured in the accident.

The incident occurred due to the low visibility on the road during the early morning. The deceased were identified as Challa Mallikarjun Reddy (27 ) and his relative Bollavula Dhanalaxmi (35 ). Reddy's wife and children suffered injuries.

The injured including the newborn child was shifted to Khammam district hospital for treatment.

In another road accident at Chintonigumpu in Allapalli mandal in Kothagudem district, a youngster identified as G Suresh (22) died on the spot when he lost control of the vehicle and fell down from it.
