3-year-old girl hit by police car in Yadadri, critical

A three-year-old is stated to be a critical state in a private hospital after a police car rammed into her while she was sleeping beside her father in the parking space near Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple on Thursday.

According to the DCP Narayana Reddy, Bhongir, the constable with city Armed Reserve was at the wheel and did not see the girl sleeping. He ran over the girl while reversing the car.

P Pranati was rushed to Government Hospital in Bhongir where she was given first-aid and admitted to a private hospital in LB Nagar. The girl who suffered grievous head injuries was put on a ventilator, said Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, Mahesh Bhagwat.
