300 monkeys caught from a colony in Hyderabad

As many as three hundred monkeys have been caught from Ramachander Singh colony at Peerzadiguda in Bodduppal on Saturday.

The residents who were irked by the monkey menace complained to municipal authorities. As there was no response from the officials, the residents of the colony collected funds from each house and caught the simians with the help of monkey catchers.

A cage made up of iron mesh was arranged to trap the monkeys. However, later the tapped simians were set free in Srisailam and Narsapur forests.
