4 die due to electrocution in Mahabubabad

Four persons died of electric shock here at Amanagallu of Mahabubabad district on Saturday. The deceased were identified as Dasari Lingaiah (55), his wife Lakshmi (50), CH Sattaiah (55) and his wife Radhamma (48).

According to the police, the couple Sattaiah and Radhamma were electrocuted while drying the clothes at their home. Lingaian and Lakshmi who noticed the couple rushed forward to help them but they too suffered the shock and died. The bodies of the deceased were sent to Mahabubabad hospital for autopsy.

A pall of gloom surrounded the village with the death of the two couples. The police said that the wet clothes touched the live wire which resulted in the incident.

Minister Satyavati Rathod expressed grief over the incident and assured to help the kin of the deceased. The police registered a case and took up the investigation.
