4 of Punjabi family attempts suicide in Hyderabad, 2 die

Four of a family hailing from Punjab has attempted suicide on Thursday here at DD colony in Amberpet.

The family consumed cool drink laced with sleeping pills to end their lives. Locals alerted the police who shifted the victims to Andhra Mahila Sabha Hospital.

Of the four, two of them identified as Pawan (65) and his Neelam (55) were dead and the other two Mannu (34) and Nikhil (30) are battling for life.

The reason for the suicide is yet to be known. A case has been registered by the police.
