40 KGBV students fall sick after having lunch in Chadampeta

Chadampeta (Nalgonda): As many as 40 students of Kasturiba Gandhi Balika Vidyala in Choutuppal fell sick after having lunch on Wednesday. They were shifted to Devarakonda hospital for treatment.

According to sources, as many as 40 students of the school from class 5 to class 10 suffered stomach ache and vomiting after eating the foul smelling tomato chutney and were shifted to Devarakonda hospital for treatment.

Doctors of Devarkonda hospital informed that after first aid and treatment with UV fluids all the affected students of KGBV of Chandampeta are normal.

According to the students, they are suffering a lot due to lack of infrastructure and facilities in the school and hostel. They are forced to eat rice of sub standard quality and with worms. At the same time they are facing the problem of poor lighting in classrooms and dormitory which is causing a lot of inconveniency to them during the study hours.

Meanwhile, parents of victim students demanded the officials concerned to provide proper facilities and quality food to avoid such incidents in future.
