4th TS ranking chess tourney begins in Khammam

Khammam: The opening ceremony of the 4th Telangana State Ranking Chess Tournament was held on the Resonance Info School premises in Khammam city on Thursday.

Resonance Educational Institutions chairman Raja Vasireddy Nageswara Kumar said, "Every month, we are conducting the ranking chess tournament for the last few months.

This is fourth chess tournament in the ranking chess tournament under the auspices of Telangana State Chess Association and Khammam District Chess Association.

The tournament director Bangarapu Srinivas said that on March 24, students of under the age group of 7, 9, 11, 13 and 15 were eligible to come directly and take part in the tournament which will held at Resonance Info School in VDO's Colony in Khammam city.

He added that free chess coaching would be given to players who participate in the tournament from 5 pm to 6 pm on Saturday.
