5 nominations rejected, 29 accepted for Khammam LS seat
Khammam: The scrutiny of all the nominations submitted for the upcoming parliamentary elections was taken up at People's Conference Hall of the collectorate office on Tuesday.
The scrutiny process started at 10 am and was successfully finished by the end of the day.
In the presence of general observer GK Arun Sundar Tyalan, IAS, the Election Returning Officer and District Collector RV Karnan scrutinised the nominations.
In the process, the candidates and their proposers participated.
After the scrutiny process, Collector RV Karnan said that a total of five nominations were rejected and 29 nominations were accepted. Joint Collector Anurag Jayanth, Zilla Parishad CEO Priyanka, Assistant Collector Hanmanth Kodimba, Assistant Returning Officer Srinivasa Rao, Collectorate AO Madhan Gopal and DT Rambabu took part in the scrutiny process.
