50 detained in Anti-CAA protests in Hyderabad

As many as 50 people were detained for protesting against CAA, NRC and NPR late on Saturday night at Mallepally.

The police foiled the protests staged by a group of men and women at the Riyan Hotel junction at Mallepally around 10 pm. On a receipt of information, the Habeebnagar police station reached the spot and asked them to disperse.

However, the Rapid Action Force and City Armed Reserve were brought after the crowd did not disperse. The protestors were shifted to the Goshamahal police stadium and Central Crime station.

On the other hand, the protestors said that the policemen attacked them in mufti and assaulted them in police vehicles.
