52-year-old woman gives birth to twins at Karimnagar

A 52-year-old woman hailing from Bhadrachalam gave birth to twin babies through IVF method in a private fertility centre at Karimnagar despite suffering from heart disease and high blood pressure. The delivery was normal.

Ramadevi and Satyanarayana had two children, a son and a daughter. While their daughter got married, son died in a road accident six years ago driving them into loneliness.

However, the couple planned to have a baby boy and visited various hospitals and then approached a gynaecologist in Karimnagar who suggested the IVF treatment.

Dr Padmaja has taken special care on Rama Devi as she was suffering from heart disease and high BP.
