6 convicted under POCSO act in Hyderabad

Six persons were convicted to life imprisonment and 15 others to imprisonment for 10 years in the registered against them under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) act.

Meanwhile, other 12 persons were awarded the punishment ranging from three months to seven years at the child-friendly court on April 7, 2018, since it started working from HACA Bhavan.

Around 380 cases were pending and cases in which the suspects got acquittal were 65, while abated cases were two and cases that were closed were five. Total cases that were disposed of were 105.
