7 held in cordon and search operation conducted at Hyderabad airport
Seven people were held in cordon and search operation conducted at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) on Wednesday.
Around 100 constables, five sub-inspectors, three CIs and one ACP participated in the cordon and search operation led by DCP Prakash Reddy. They conducted search operations at the parking lot near the international terminal RTC bus stand and verified the documents related to all the vehicles.
The police arrested seven people and seized six taxies. They also nabbed 16 persons for moving suspiciously.
It is learned the operation has been carried out after a series of complaints that car drivers who are not supposed to operate in the area and harassing the passengers by charging exorbitant fares.
