77% cast their votes in phase 1 of Parishad polls
Kothagudem: District Collector Rajat Kumar Saini informed that 77 per cent of have turned up for the first phase of Parishad elections that were conducted on Monday in seven mandals of the district. The Collector on the day inspected the polling booths Laxmidevipally under the Palvoncha mandal and interacted with the voters.
Speaking to the media later, he said the district administration has made all necessary arrangements for the conduct of three phases of elections peacefully. On Monday, the polls were held in seven mandals where in 1,04,515 male voters, 1,09,212 women voters and two voters of third genders had exercised their franchise at 443 polling stations.
The polling was conducted from 7 am to 4 pm with any hassles. Drinking water facilities were arranged at all polling stations.
