A Slew of growth initiatives lined up for launch in Warangal
Warangal: The State government is committed to develop Warangal city, Chief Whip D Vinay Bhaskar said.
Speaking to media persons at the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) administrative office here on Thursday, he said that MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao is giving special impetus to the all round development of Warangal.
Referring to KTR's proposed visit to the city on October 5, he said that a slew of development works lined for the launch. "KTR will lay foundation stone for the construction of Rs 4 crore Oxygen Park at Rampur Industrial Area," he said.
This apart, KTR will also launch the work on four grand gateways that reflect Kakatiya sculptural elegance at Rampur, Khammam road, Dharmaram and Yellapur, and Rs 6 crore four-kilometer road development (Warangal-Hyderabad highway), he added.
"KTR will also inaugurate the new facility of the software giant Cyient's state-of-the-art technology development centre that likely to give a major boost to Warangal's dreams of emerging as an IT centre," Vinay said. The work on Rs 250 crore inner ring road (6.60 kilometers) will also be grounded, he said. The Rs 25 crore Bhadrakali Bund promenade that likely to put Warangal on world tourism map will be thrown open by KTR, Chief Whip said. Stating that they had identified around 23 acres adjacent to Regional Science Centre near Kakatiya Zoo Park, Hunter Road, for the Shilparamam craft village, Vinay said that KTR will also lay foundation stone for it if the administration clears the proposal. All these proposed works would add flavour to the existing tourist attractions like Padmkashi temple, Jain places etc.
Deputy Mayor Khaja Sirajuddin, Corporators Boda Dinna and Miryakar Devender were among others present.
