ABVP bandh successful in Mancherial

Mancherial: Following the call of State  , Mancherial unit leaders organised the bandh here on Friday.

ABVP State joint secretary Ashvin Reddy speaking to the media at IB Chowrasta here, said that Right to Education Act states that 25 per cent seats of the total strength of the students in all private schools should be allotted to poor students and should provide free education.

But no school management is implementing this rule and the educational department officials are negligent in curbing such schools.

The union leaders alleged that the authorities concerned are not taking any action against the managements of private schools, who have turned education into business.

The private schools' management are also resorting to collecting high fees from students, selling books, uniforms, ties and other items in the schools, at a high price, against the government rules.

AVBP district convenor Boga Prashanth Babu, town secretary Allam Pradeep, Praveen, zonal in-charge Pavan Kalyan, Vinay and others were present.
